It is my pleasure to give you a quick introduction of Sessa Klein my second entrepreneurial experience after having spent 20 years in the industrial automation business.
I bought this company and an other engineering company Siprotec, specialized in the design and the engineering of complete trains (that I merged with Sessa Klein), in 2003 as the beginning of a very ambitious project to built a “mini-multinational” company focused on designing and manufacturing components for the rolling stock market.
I based my strategic decision on the awareness that the concentration of the rolling stock market during the last decades and the resulting decrease of the number of big manufactures, would soon lead to a replacement of the many local suppliers (with typical craftwork attitudes) with a few global suppliers capable of compelling innovation, high quality levels and competitiveness.
So we started investing heavily in high skilled people with international expertise, in powerful tools for designing and prototyping, in new and modern machinery for production and in a tremendous promotion of our technology and our products among the most important manufacturers of rolling stock.
Today Sessa Klein is widely recognized as the best designer and producer of windows for rolling stock (passenger coaches and driver cab side) and one of the most innovative designer and producer of interiors for metro and trains. Our headquarters is in Italy in Castronno (not far away from Milan Malpensa Airport), we have a subsidiary in China at Suzhou and we are now going to expand our direct presence in India and Russia.
We operate in an evolving market where rolling stock producers are really few compared to the over 100 of twenty years ago. Nevertheless, the fading geographical borders make competition even fiercer and customers more and more demanding than ever.
In response to these environment changes, Sessa Klein's business mission is to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction through its technological innovations and the commitment of its management and staff where everyone is perfectly aware of the challenges of the new global market and true to Sessa Klein's motto "BE EXCELLENT, BE GLOBAL". |
