In 2003 SessaKlein bought and merge with Siprotec engineering company and its advanced design methodologies, innovative and state-of-the-art IT tools and, most importantly, 20 years of engineering and design experience in rail transport and mass transit systems.
Responding to the market growing demand for innovative solutions, SessaKlein Engineering Division is today ready to offer to its customer its extensive know-how that goes from planning to design, from operation reliability to product safety and quality.
All SessaKlein new models are 3D designed, using advanced software systems such as Catià V5, directly linked to customers' and suppliers' databases via virtual private networks, on demand or continuously, for co-design purposes. The native 3D design and calculation generate major benefits throughout the project phases, almost zeroing interferences, mechanical misalignments and insufficient tolerances.
Furthermore it’s the basis for preventive weight optimization and for accelerating CNC milling machinerie programming, decreasing lead time. SessaKlein however bear in mind its long production experience, so the “virtual” mock-up becomes a “real” mock-up on which design reviews are implemented by our engineers and customer’s technicians.
In years of co-operation with important European constructors, Sessa Klein Engineering Department has gained significant experience in rolling stock engineering and design of electric trains, metros, trams, electric and diesel locomotives, special wagons, freight wagons.
